Architecture is a creative and exciting profession that combines technology, ecology, philosophy, art and science to solve the problems of the built environment. Homes, office buildings, opera houses, art galleries, schools and factories are all designed by architects.

Structure
In the Bachelor of Design (Architecture) program students are required to complete 240 units, which is comprised of: 220 units of core courses; and 20 units of elective courses.

Entry requirements
- Year 12 or equivalent
- any 2 units of English plus recommended study of Industrial Technology and/or Visual Arts
Recognition
If registration and practice as an architect is desired, then students must also complete the Master of Architecture program. The Master of Architecture degree is recognised for registration by the State Boards of Architects, the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia and the Australian Institute of Architects. The Master of Architecture, along with a minimum of two years' professional experience and a professional practice exam conducted by the State Boards of Architects, leads to registration as an architect.
