Our Master of Engineering (Civil and Structural) comprises a foundation year and an advanced studies year. We have a strong focus on design and analysis using modern, computer-based methods. You will: study structural dynamics, reinforced concrete and steel design, develop and evaluate geotechnical models, pursue specialist topics according to your interests and career goals, build communication and project management skills, undertake a significant research project.

Structure
The Master of Engineering is a 48-unit program comprising: 12 units of core courses; 12 units of foundation courses; 12 units of advanced technical coursework and; a project to the value of 12 units, which introduces candidates to research.

The Master of Engineering (Civil and Structural) is provisionally accredited by Engineers Australia.
Study Pathways
An exit path will be available for students completing only the foundation year, after they satisfy a set requirement in the relevant discipline. In this case a graduate diploma will be awarded. To remain in this program, students must maintain a high grade point average (GPA) throughout their candidature.
