Graduate Diploma in Information Technology
If you're looking to develop advanced knowledge in at least one information technology discipline, this is the course for you. Your design and problem-solving skills will allow you to critically analyse problem spaces, assess alternate IT solutions, and evaluate outcomes. Application of your IT knowledge and skills will result in considered and relevant IT solutions. You will graduate with well-developed professional attitudes, behaviours and judgements.

Structure
To graduate with a Graduate Diploma in Information Technology you are required to complete 96 credit points of course units consisting of: 48 credit points of core units, comprising of eight 6 credit points of IT foundation units; plus; 48 credits points of discipline units from your chosen major selection.

Entry requirements
- 1 year program - You must have one of: A recognised bachelor degree (or higher qualification) in any discipline
- or
- A recognised diploma (or higher qualification) in information technology followed by at least two years full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience in the information technology field
- or
- At least five years full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience in the information technology field. 0.5 year program - You must have successfully completed QUT’s IN18 Graduate Certificate in Information Technology.
Study Pathways
The QUT Graduate Diploma in Information Technology is located at Level 8 of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Graduates will be eligible for entry into IN20 Master of Information Technology with a reduced course duration.
