Bachelor of Radiation Therapy

We offer Queensland’s only university degree in radiation therapy. This course has been designed in consultation with clinical staff from industry and is taught by registered professionals with extensive experience. The content incorporates clinical skills and hands-on experience from your first semester. The Bachelor of Radiation Therapy is a professional degree providing graduates with a highly specialised qualification. This course is not designed as a bridging course for a different career. Your studies will cover the interaction of radiation on body tissue, radiation therapy treatment planning, X-ray and CT image matching, and treatment delivery in a virtual environment.

Study Pathways

Students may apply to transfer to a Bachelor of Radiation Therapy (Honours) at the end of second year. Entry to Honours will be competitive and will be based on Grade Point Average. Postgraduate studies in Ultrasound or Research degrees are available.
