Bachelor of Business (Finance)

Finance is a dynamic field, focusing on the borrowing, lending, and investing of money by individuals, financial institutions, businesses and government organisations. Finance professionals analyse and interpret information to forecast cash flows and assess risk. They make decisions that maximise financial wealth. If you are fascinated by foreign investment, exchange rates, stock market fluctuations or corporate finance, consider a finance degree. QUT’s finance major focuses on authentic learning to prepare you for the real world. You’ll be connected with industry and will benefit from listening to real-world practitioners as they explain how the value of investments changes over time. Throughout this course you’ll take part in hands-on projects including capital investment appraisal, firm valuation, portfolio allocations and risk management, using up-to-date information from our Economics and Finance Bloomberg Lab.
