Structure

Classes – Standard group classes are held 2 days per week on-campus, 9:30am – 2:30pm. Flipped Learning Model – Study and activities are completed before attending class, so you can focus on interactive and practical learning during class time. Self-directed study – 12 hours per week. outside of classes to complete tasks and assessments. Timetable structure – You’ll study 2 units per week, with each unit generally taking 4–5 weeks to complete. There are typically 4 units per term. Placement – You’ll work unpaid with an industry partner to demonstrate your skills in a real workplace. Placement is completed after at least six months of classroom learning and again prior to course completion.

Entry requirements

  • There are no formal prerequisites, however, it is recommended that you: Have satisfactory literacy and numeracy skills, or Are a mature-age student with relevant work experience You may apply if you have: Completed VCE or an approved equivalent, or Have sufficient work/life experience to undertake the course You must also: Complete a pre-training review interview and Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN) assessment at ACSF Level 4 Be able to use a personal computer for word processing, spreadsheets, email, and online research
