Bachelor of Education - Primary

Focus on the curriculum for children from Prep to Year Six. Develop skills for leading a classroom, including inclusive teaching methods that ensure the success of each of your students. Experience relevant workplace learning in primary school settings. Gain professional experience from your first year of study in state, Catholic, and independent schools. Over the course of your Bachelor of Education (Primary) degree, youll undertake 95 days of placement. In your final year, you will complete a mandatory five-day intensive Professional Orientation Program, ensuring that youre ready to take on your career in education with confidence.

Structure

96 credit points of subjects including 9 credit points (3 subjects) from a selected specialisation. The course includes prescribed professional placements. Online study commences in March and September of each year and students study one subject six times a year to complete in 5.5 years.
