Bachelor of Business - Hospitality Management

The ICHM Bachelor of Business (Hospitality Management) prepares you for an international career in a wide variety of hospitality businesses. You will progress from an operational base through to a management perspective. Your knowledge is expanded each year with new industry relevant concepts and business applications. ICHM’s academic year consists of six months full time study, followed by a six month Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement throughout Australia, or possibly overseas. ICHM graduates gain a comprehensive understanding of the international hospitality environment, and as a result, have outstanding career prospects with many obtaining highly sought-after positions around the world.

Structure

Students spend 6 months each year completing full academic study on the campus (8 subjects), and 6 months on industry placements in hotels and related organisations throughout Australia and internationally. During the on campus academic semesters students cover all aspects of hotel operations and management. General business, leadership, communication and cross-cultural skills are also an integral parts of the course. It is ICHM's preferred policy to place students in paid positions during their industry placements.

Study Pathways

Students can graduate upon completion; or choose to go on to complete the more advanced Bachelor of International Hotel Management (Swiss Hotel Association); meaning students complete their studies with two degrees.
