Structure
This course is built around knowledge of the core sciences with elective topics to meet the specific interests of students. Throughout the course there is a strong focus on fieldwork and practical training, projects involving team-work and the development of communication and professional skills. First year is about laying the foundation with studies of well-known science from antiquity to the present, then in second and third year deeper explorations into Quantum, Optics, Electromagnetism, thermodynamics, optoelectronics, nuclear physics and cosmology are possible. Experimental physics skills are developed throughout the program, and there are placement opportunities within the capstone topic experience and summer scholarship placements.
