Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Systems and Security) / Bachelor of Science (Physics)

Developed in collaboration with the Defence Science and Technology Group within the Department of Defence, but with substantial opportunities outside the defence sector, this combined degree encompasses a wide range of communication mediums including radar, radio and microwave together with a solid background in physics. A particular focus will be placed on systems engineering and on technologies that use these in conjunction with studies in signal processing, infrared imaging systems, multi-spectral sensing, satellite communications, computer networks, cybersecurity and telecommunications.

Structure

The course encompasses a wide range of communication mediums including radar, radio and microwaves. Entry requirements

  • This course can be applied for using one of the following qualifications: Year 12, TAFE qualifications, the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT), the Flinders Foundation Studies Program and Tertiary Transfer.This course has a prerequisite of SACE stage one mathematics or stage two general mathematics. Knowledge of SACE stage two physics and specialist mathematics or mathematical methods is assumed.
