The Australian International Institute of Higher Education (AIIHE) has designed a profession-aligned Master of Information Technology (Cybersecurity) program tailored to empower graduates for leadership roles as ICT senior executives, cyber security officer or ICT professional experts, with the specialised knowledge and skills in the area of cybersecurity and its associated fields. In an era where all size-organisations rely heavily on information systems and Internet, having a reliable and secure systems and networks are a vital responsibility for every organisation. This program equips graduates with advanced technical proficiencies in the core knowledge of IT and cybersecurity technologies. By integrating knowledge and skills, the curriculum endows students with the tools and techniques required to analyse, detect, and securely confront challenges in the ever-evolving cyberspace. The program is structured in alignment with the comprehensive body of knowledge of Cyber Security (CYBOK) involving its eight areas concerning aspects of the human, organisational and regulatory aspects as well as the attack and defence technology aspects and added to other industry alignments such as the ACM IEEE Computing Curricula. At its core, the program integrates foundational subjects in information technology, such as software development, systems analysis design, database management systems, ethical and professional practice in IT, and project management. This foundation is further enriched by the specialised cybersecurity subjects such as cybersecurity and information, cyber security management and governance, penetration testing, and information assurance and risk management. The pedagogy of the Master of Information Technology (Cybersecurity) seamlessly blends practical insights from industry experts with a rigorous academic framework, establishing a robust understanding of general information technology and cybersecurity level. The salient feature of this course is the inclusion of a Capstone Project subject, focused on tackling a contemporary issue and challenges pertaining to IT and data science. Here, students apply and integrate their knowledge to propose recommendations or solutions.

Entry requirements
- Applicants must have completed an Australian bachelor’s degree (3 years) (AQF Level 7) or overseas equivalent with a minimum of 55% OR Applicants must have completed a Graduate Certificate of IT (or similar cognate area) AQF level 8 equivalent OR Applicants must have completed a Graduate Diploma of IT (or similar cognate area) AQF level 8 equivalent.
