How to plan your summer holidays at uni

1. Downtime

Uni holidays are arguably the best invention. I mean they literally go on for months during the best times of the year.

This summer holidays you’re gonna make the most of your time by planning it out. Starting with downtime.

The summer hols can get filled out quite quickly with various different things so start by making sure you give yourself some time to really chill out and enjoy having some free time.

2. Work

Getting a job over the summer is a given for most uni students. But making sure you get one that fits what you're looking to do over the summer is important.

Find a job that gives you flexibility if you think you may want to plan things at the last minute.

3. Internships

An internship could be a good way for you to make the most of the holidays and get some great experience that you can use later down the line on your resume.

They are harder and harder to get the later into the end of the year you get, so if this is something you are interested in doing over your holdiay break then commit to it and get looking for that internship.

If you don't get an internship, any conversation you may have with potential employers can be helpful for next year. So try and build those relationships regardless of if there is an internship for you. You never know whne they might come in handy.
