The Graduate Certificate in Interpreting and Translation articulates into the Graduate Diploma in Interpreting, the Graduate Diploma in Translation, the Master of Arts Interpreting and Translation Studies and the Master of Interpreting and Translation. Credit towards any of these courses is granted based on common units. The course is suitable for people new to the discipline as well as for practising interpreters and translators wanting to learn about the theory and to improve their practical skills. Applicants who have undertaken studies overseas may have to provide proof of proficiency in English. Overseas qualifications must be deemed by the Australian Education International - National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (AEI-NOOSR) to be equivalent to Australian qualifications in order to be considered by UAC and UWS.
