This program is comprised of two stages. Stage 1 begins with the Executive Blueprint course, a mandatory 3 day intensive residential, followed by 7 foundation courses (four core courses and three electives) that focus on the functional areas of business management, so that the knowledge and skills learned are immediately relevant and applicable in the workplace. Stage 2 of the program is the Executive Agenda Year, which is an immersive 11 month program which adapts an integrated learning framework of 'knowing, doing, being' and provides a transformational learning experience that will support students' professional development goals.
Structure
Stage 1 consists of 8 courses, Executive Blueprint, four core courses and three elective courses. Stage 2 comprises the Executive Agenda Year. Students must complete Stage 1 with an overall Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65% or more before they can progress to Stage 2.

- A strong undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification and a minimum of 2 years professional work experience
- Or at least 6 years of professional work experience

Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST); the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
Study pathways
Students who have undertaken postgraduate management studies (of no more than 5 years standing) with other institutions or recognised professional associations such as ASCPA, ICAA and FINSIA may be eligible for exemption from some Stage 1 courses.

A comprehensive package of learning material is provided for each course. The AGSM MBA (Executive) can be completed in 2.5 years or up to a maximum of 7 years. This program is not currently available for international students unless residing in Australia on a business visa.
