This program is designed to help develop analytical and statistical skills that have wide applications in the business sector and in the financial world. Graduates typically work as professional economists in government, international agencies, private firms and consultancies. The first year of study provides students with an understanding of economic theory and business statistics and introduces them to the application of economics to contemporary issues. Depending on students' interests and career goals, they will choose one of three majors: economics, econometrics and financial economics. In addition, students will have the opportunity to study a second economics major or another business major (from approved areas of study).
