The Bachelor of Mathematics (Pure Mathematics) will teach you highly transferable skills in problem-solving, data analysis, probability and variability, mathematical modelling, logistics and logic. Mathematical and statistical models help us analyse information and forecast results in economics, finance, medicine and industrial processes. Pure mathematics is concerned with exploring patterns and solving problems; it can provide new insights into nature, technology and business, and create a pathway for innovative solutions. You will learn to develop, analyse and unify mathematical concepts and principles through deductive reasoning. You will also study subjects in pure mathematics and expand your skills and knowledge in the areas of partial differential equations, topology, algebra, and calculus of variations and elementary differential geometry.
