Marketers manage the activities, institutions and processes responsible for creating, communicating and delivering products and services. This includes facilitating relationships to deliver value for consumers, clients and society. From identifying the target customer to developing a competitive advantage, marketing is a crucial activity for all businesses. During your first year you will study core business subjects and in second year you will begin your major in marketing, developing skills needed to manage integrated marketing and communications strategies. Throughout this degree, you will be immersed in marketing, from understanding consumer behaviour and measuring the effectiveness of communication channels, to the product positioning and the effectiveness of market research. You will learn how to use creative advertising techniques, including graphic design software, to develop creative and effective marketing communications and see how marketing can influence positive change in social behaviour.
