Friends of Mary Cairncross Honours Scholarship

The Friends of Mary Cairncross Honours Scholarship is available to students undertaking honours studies in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or Animal Ecology in an environmentally sensitive site on the Sunshine Coast.
Eligibility
Applicants must: be commencing Honours study at USC in the discipline of Environmental Science; Environmental Management; or Animal Ecology; research focus in an environmentally sensitive site on the Sunshine Coast, with a preference for an area of research relevant to the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve; intention/motivation for ongoing study/research and pursuit of a Higher Degree by Research (HDR); and not already be in receipt of a USC merit scholarship or a USC Honours or postgraduate Indigenous Scholarship for Honours year of study. Selection is based on academic merit (GPA for advanced level courses undertaken).
Amount | $5,000 The scholarship is valued at $5,000 for 1 year of full-time study, to be paid in 2 equal instalments of $2,500 in Semester 1 and Semester 2. Part-time students will receive pro rata payment, equivalent to the units of study. |
