Adelaide Brighton Junior Cooperative Scholarship

The Adelaide Brighton Junior Cooperative Scholarship aims to support applicants who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering and have an interest in civil and civil and environmental engineering.

Eligibility

Applicants must: be Australian citizens, or permanent resident visa, or humanitarian visa holders; be enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering / Diploma in Engineering Practice (BEngDipEngPrac); Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice (BEng(Hon)DipProfEngPrac) course, or combined Engineering program at UTS; be majoring in Civil or Civil and Environmental Engineering; have a minimum pass average; be enrolled full-time in the BEng(Hon)DipProfEngPrac or BE DipEngPrac degree or combined Engineering degree for the duration of the scholarship; be Diploma students; be enrolled or have successfully completed all prerequisites subjects for Engineering Practice Preview 1. Preference will be given to applicants who are female or have a credit average: Selection is based on: motivation to succeed in the course; demonstrated interest in the civil and civil and environmental engineering industry and in a work placement at Adelaide Brighton; demonstrated or potential to quickly gain practical engineering skills; demonstrated work place readiness skills; successful completion of Adelaide Brighton's recruitment process; and Adelaide Brighton's recommendation of recipient; minimum pass average; be enrolled full-time in the BEng(Hon)DipProfEngPrac or BE DipEngPrac degree or combined Engineering degree for the duration of the scholarship; Diploma students must be enrolled or have successfully completed all prerequisites subjects for Engineering Practice Preview 1. Further details

Shortlisted applicants will be requested to attend an interview and selection will be based on the selection criteria. Applicants who do not attend the interview will not be considered for the Scholarship.

Amount $12,500

The maximum total value of the Scholarship is $25,000, the recipient will have an opportunity to complete one unpaid internship of 24 weeks with Adelaide Brighton, as required by the course, within their second year of study.
