Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens, or permanent residents; be entering the second year of a mathematical sciences undergraduate degree program within the School of Information Technology and Mathematical Sciences. Selection is based on high achievement and academic merit.

The scholarship provides $1,500, paid in instalments of $750 in the first and second half of each year. The second payment will be subject to satisfactory academic progress as defined by the School.
