With UniSA's Graduate Diploma in Data Science students develop current knowledge of data science techniques and research. It caters for students with a mathematics or an IT background, with courses tailored for both. Students learn to analyse and visualise rich data sources, how to spot data trends, and how to generate data management strategies. Studies also include courses in complex areas of data analytics such as predictive analytics, unsupervised methods in analytics, research methods and data visualisation.

- Applicants to the Graduate Diploma in Data Science will normally have: a Bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised higher education institution with a minimum of one year of full-time study in Mathematics or Information Technology or Data Science or a combination thereof
- OR a Graduate Certificate in Data Science or equivalent from a recognised higher education institution.
Study pathways
This graduate diploma is offered as part of a suite of three programs (graduate certificate, graduate diploma and master). Each qualification extends to the next, so students can easily transition to a master level qualification. Students receive the Graduate Certificate in Data Science if they decide to exit this qualification after having completed the first four courses.
