The Master of Learning Intervention has two streams depending on your profession or desired outcomes. Stream A is suitable for teachers who are registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and seeking a further qualification in special education. Stream A students may already have worked with people with disabilities, people who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) or specific learning difficulties in other community contexts. Stream B is suitable for allied health practitioners, early childhood educators and international students who wish to increase their understanding and skills in learning intervention.

Structure

  • The course is 100 points of coursework
  • 5 core subjects unique to your specialisation
  • 1 elective subject, chosen from options outside your specialisations
  • 2 capstone subjects from Stream A or B at the end of the course.

Standard entry requirements

  • A four-year education degree, or equivalent or
  • A three-year undergraduate qualification and a fourth-year level education qualification, or equivalent or
  • A three-year undergraduate qualification in an area related to education (such as social work, speech pathology, psychology or occupational therapy) and at least two years of documented, relevant work experience.
