This program is offered to students who hold a degree and are interested in working as a teacher in a secondary (7-12) school setting. It provides students with a sound theoretical base for teaching along with opportunities to develop a repertoire of professional skills. It is structured to provide effective connections between theory and practice. It provides professional studies in education, discipline-specific curriculum and pedagogical studies, general education studies and professional experience. All students in the course will complete the requirements to be able to register as a teacher for school years 7-12 in Australia. The program builds knowledge and understanding of, and skills in research-led professional practice in education.

Entry Requirements:

Degree or equivalent including 1 major of discipline-specific study relevant to secondary curriculum and preferably 1 different curriculum relevant minor; Police Checks; overall academic IELTS, or equivalent, of 7.5 with no band score below 7 and a score of not less than 8 in both speaking and listening.

Applicants not offered a place in the Master of Teaching will be automatically assessed for admission to the Bachelor of Secondary Education (Graduate Entry).
