A Bachelor of Business provides you with understanding of core business strategies. Explore your passions through our wide range of electives. At Torrens University, you’ll learn to build strategic plans for real business settings and real clients. Put your skills into practice and drive positive outcomes for a business. During this course, you will choose from a broad range of electives in Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management, Tourism and Hospitality so you can focus on the area you’re passionate about. Additionally, you will complete the compulsory Industry Consulting Project subject, which provides first-hand experience in a business environment and develops practical skills to complement your theoretical knowledge. We will support you in your responsibility to find an industry placement(s), so you graduate with invaluable work experience, a built-in professional network and a serious competitive advantage.
Structure
This course comprises of 24 subjects, which includes 11 core subjects, including 300 hours of industry placement, and 13 elective subjects. Each subject involves 10 hours of study per week, comprising 3 hours of facilitated study and 7 hours self-directed study.
Standard entry requirements
Year 12 (Australian secondary school certificate) or equivalent, OR completion of a Vocational qualification (AQF Level 4 or above), OR Successful completion of a Higher Education qualification. Alternative option: Work and life experience that demonstrates skills and knowledge gained through paid or unpaid employment, formal learning and/or non-formal learning (presented on a current resume with attached cover letter).
