The Graduate Certificate in Religious Education is designed to introduce students to advanced knowledge and understandings of specialised educational and theological theory and practices in religious education. The program requires demonstration of cognitive, technical and creative skills with initiative and a high level of personal autonomy and accountability to generate understanding of complex issues in religious education. Students are expected to critically evaluate issues in RE curriculum, leadership and pedagogy, pastoral care, spirituality and values development underlying the understanding of significant recent developments in Catholic education.
