The Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) is a 4-year full-time program that prepares graduates to become effective, culturally-appropriate practitioners with a focus on the occupational therapist-client relationship as part of collaborative multi-disciplinary practice. This program includes a suite of occupational therapy-specific courses and clinical placement experiences to develop specialised knowledge and skills, enabling graduates to analyse critically, reflect on and synthesise complex information, problems, concepts and theories. There is an advanced and integrated focus on ethical and professional communication and behaviours. Graduates of this program will have expertise in evidence-based and reflective practice fostering autonomous, adaptable occupational therapists well prepared to meet the challenges of current and future health provision across diverse practice settings. Graduates from this program will be eligible for registration as an occupational therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (Ahpra).
