A Biomedical Science program at Notre Dame is a gateway to a rewarding career in a host of health-related fields. The Bachelor of Biomedical Science consists of a prescribed series of courses designed to impart a range of theoretical and practical skills that form an appropriate basis for subsequent professional employment. This degree is also excellent pre-clinical preparation for postgraduate studies in the health and/or medical fields. The Bachelor of Health Promotion focuses on promoting individual and community health and wellbeing. You will develop a clear understanding of how social and other health determinants impact health and wellbeing as well as the effectiveness of socio-environmental, population and community approaches to health promotion. Throughout the course, you explore: the psychological aspects of health behaviour; behavioural aspects of change; health promotion principles, frameworks, planning and implementation; social marketing; principles of community development; project management; and health related research and evaluation. Graduates can pursue careers in health promotion, community development, health education and health research.

Standard entry requirements
- Applicants with recent Secondary Education: Indicative ATAR of 70 with a score of 50+ in ATAR English, ATAR Literature or ATAR English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) OR Minimum International Baccalaureate (IB) score of 24
- Applicants with Higher Education Study
- Other university studies completed at undergraduate level or higher, a minimum of 4 successfully completed subjects
- OR Successful completion of the Notre Dame Tertiary Pathway Program or of another Enabling Program at a level deemed sufficient by the University.
