This qualification is part of the Furnishing Training Package. It describes the skills and knowledge required to perform a range of glass and glazing job roles, including safely manufacturing, processing, moving and installing various types of glass and handling glazing materials and components.

24 units: 11 core; 13 elective

Core: Apply first aid; Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices; Communicate in the workplace; Work in a team; Use glass and glazing sector hand and power tools; Operate glass freefall rack and table; Process thin glass by hand; plus more. Electives: Work safely; Store and handle glass; Process glass by automatic machines; Apply patterns and designs to glass; Fabricate and assemble frames; Fabricate and install shower screens and wardrobe doors; Conduct commercial and structural re-glazing; Apply product and material knowledge to leadlight and stained glass operations; Prepare and install architectural engineered leadlight and stained glass; plus more.
