TAFE South Australia (TAFE SA)

Type of institution: TAFE Institute

The associate degree gives students a firm foundation in both theoretical study and practical skills, with an emphasis on strong site management skills as needed by the construction industry. A typical study program in the first year includes electrical engineering practice, including WHS and sustainability, engineering mathematics and physics, basic analog circuits, introduction to electrical machines, and engineering programming. The second year includes electrical machines, mechatronics, project management and final year engineering project. In small classes, students will work on real-world examples and combined with the guaranteed work experience in the field, they will develop the attributes needed to succeed in Australia's technology-based industries.
