Therefore the need for qualified network security specialists is growing and you're skills will always be in demand. In the Bachelor of Information Technology (Cyber and Network Security) you will acquire the technical skills needed to work as a cyber-security specialist in the fast-growing and dynamic IT industry. Completion of this course requires you to successfully complete 24 subjects (240 credit points) made up of 21 core subjects and 3 elective subjects.

Standard entry requirements
- MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS You must demonstrate that you have achieved one of the following:
- A NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or its equivalent as evidenced by a certified copy of your certificate or transcript OR
- A Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation or its equivalent as evidenced by a certified copy of your certificate or transcript OR
- A completed certificate IV or higher vocational qualification as evidenced by a certified copy of your certificate or transcript
- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS. You must also:
- Submit a 500-word essay that shows your motivation to study and work in the information technology industry
- Attend a pre-admission interview where you may also be asked to complete a short literacy and numeracy task - this helps us to understand how we can support your study success and provide you with any necessary support
- Have mathematics knowledge to HSC level or equivalent before entering this course, or you may be required to undertake a bridging program or preparatory course
- SPECIAL ADMISSIONS: If you are unable to meet the entry requirements, you may be eligible for special admission.
- INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS: International applicants must meet proof of eligibility and course entry requirements. In addition, international applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency at a minimum IELTS level of 6.5 with a minimum level of 6 in any one band.
