Structure
To graduate with a Certificate in Information Technology you are required to complete 48 credit points of course units consisting of: 48 credit points of core units, comprising of eight 6 credit points of IT foundation units.

Standard entry requirements
- You must have one of: A recognised bachelor degree (or higher qualification) in any discipline
- Or
- A recognised diploma (or higher qualification) in information technology followed by at least two years full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience in the information technology field
- Or
- At least five years full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience in the information technology field.
Study pathways
The QUT Graduate Certificate in Information Technology is located at Level 8 of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Graduates will be eligible for entry into IN19 Graduate Diploma in Information Technology and IN20 Master of Information Technology with a reduced course duration.
