Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting - MEM40412

Outsource Institute (AUS)

Type of institution: Registered Training Organisation
Level: Vocational Education and Training (VET)
CRICOS: 03713J

This qualification is part of the Metal and Engineering Training Package. It is for people employed as a trainee of draftsperson working in specialist engineering or manufacturing sectors such as in mechanical, machine construction and maintenance, steel fabrication, mechanical services, electrical services, fluid power or piping assembly organisations. Students will acquire skills and knowledge to produce detail drawings according to engineering designs and Australian Standards (AS). The skills they will develop include use of computer-aided design (CAD) software functions and ability to apply industry and discipline specific knowledge to produce models, produce drawings and schematics for specialised engineering-related areas of industry. Other skills covered in this course may include information gathering, such as onsite visits, calculations, consultations and research.
