NIDA's Master of Fine Arts (Cultural Leadership) offers a unique opportunity for creative professionals from all backgrounds to take their career to the next level and start their journey as a cultural leader. This landmark course draws on NIDA's national and international connections to create study pathways balancing practice-based learning with theoretical frameworks. Students will engage with practitioners and innovators from different cultural sectors, whilst cultivating their own strategic vision for a creative community. Access to the course is available to professionals from a range of arts and cultural sectors, including the performing arts, visual arts, museums, galleries, libraries, archives and those working in the cultural areas within local authorities and government organisations. All students undertake an international placement during the final months of their enrolment.
Structure
30 months part-time. Subjects: Cultural Transformation and Sustainability, Leadership and Governance, Communication and Advocacy, Cultural Policy and Practice, International Placement, Contextualising Practice and Practice-based Research.

Standard entry requirements
- Graduate applicants seeking admission must: have an undergraduate degree or at least five years professional experience in a relevant area (a relevant area may be cultural, creative or other relevant sector/s, including evidence of sector leadership experience)
- Be fluent in spoken and proficient in written English language (8.0 IELTS or equivalent for international applicants)
