The Graduate Diploma in Health and Social Wellbeing offers a holistic perspective on wellness which is delivered using mindful and contemplative approaches to learning. Our diploma program is designed to comprehensively challenge and change the way you understand the foundations and contributors to health and wellbeing, personally and collectively. An important element of education at Nan Tien Institute (NTI) is to embody self-care within the process of learning how to care for the health and social needs of others. This approach is essential to successfully addressing the inherent risks of burnout and fatigue when caring for others. Structure

Duration: 2 semesters of full-time study or equivalent in part-time study. 48 credit points: 5 core, 3 elective. Core units: Mind-Body Wellness, Nutrition Through the Lifespan, Research Methods and Evidence-based Practice, Social Policy, Health and Welfare, Coaching and Counselling for Health and Wellbeing.

Standard entry requirements

  • Either a Bachelor degree with a major in a relevant field, such as health sciences, social sciences, liberal arts, or education
  • Or a Graduate Certificate with a focus on health
  • For applicants who have not completed substantial tertiary studies in English: IELTS (academic version only) 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each subtest, or equivalent assessment of English language proficiency (the test must be completed no more than 2 years before commencement)
