Established as the second university in WA, Murdoch has always been associated with environment and conservation, social justice and inclusion, and providing pathways into and through a university education for people who had previously been excluded.

    Tahlia has always had a fascination with food. She loves travelling and experiencing food from different cultures. Now she’s combining her love for food with a deep desire to help people improve their lives. Coupled with a science degree that sees every day of studies unfold in a different way, the undergrad student is looking forward to a rewarding career as a sports dietetic.

    The core reason that I decided to study at Murdoch was because of the people. The atmosphere, staff and students are all extremely friendly, helpful and vibrant.

    Whilst I was in high school I was unsure of what I really wanted to do. I initially chose to study teaching, but after my second year I decided it wasn’t for me. I chose to make the switch to commerce because of all the global job opportunities. Travelling and working abroad is something I have always valued and placed high on my list of priorities. With an internationally recognised commerce degree from Murdoch University, it makes it much easier for my dreams to become a reality.
