Monash Indigenous Research Awards (MIRA) is part of a support package provided by Monash University to support Indigenous Australian students undertaking Research Doctorate and Research Masters degrees. For further information refer to Monash Indigenous Research Scholarships. These top-up scholarships help support students with living costs and are awarded in addition to a RTP Stipend.

Eligibility

Applicants must: be Indigenous Australians; be proposing to undertake a research degree as an internal on-campus student (note: scholarships may also be provided for external and/or part-time enrolment in accordance with the RTP Policy and Procedures; meet the eligibility criteria for admission to a research degree AND; meet Monashs English language proficiency requirements.

Amount $5,000

The MIRA provides a living allowance top-up (stipend) and is awarded in addition to a RTP Stipend.
