This course explores all aspects of business, financial and management accounting as well as providing students with the skills students need to work within the accounting profession. The course equips students for a career in accounting and may qualify them for membership with key accounting institutions and industry bodies, such as CPA Australia, the Institute of Public Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia. The course is taught by a team of qualified academic staff, with experience at major accounting firms in Australia and overseas. The academics include specialists in accounting information systems, auditing, financial accounting and management accounting to ensure that students' skills reflect current business practices.

Entry Requirements:

Australian Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60 or equivalent GPA as determined by the Faculty. Applicants who have completed relevant discipline units in an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) may be eligible for credit for advanced preparatory units on the basis of recognised prior learning (RPL).Applicants must also meet the English language requirements and will be ranked and selected based on their entire academic record.


Students must complete 96 credit points and the course is structured into three parts: Part A Advanced preparatory studies (24 points), Part B Mastery knowledge (60 points) and Part C Application studies (12 points).

Students may exit this course early and apply to graduate with Graduate Certificate of Business or the Graduate Diploma of Business, provided they have satisfied the requirements for that award during their enrolment in this master's course.
