Master of Strategic Communications Management

This international double master's program enables you to complete the requirements of the Monash Master of Strategic Communications Management as well as a second degree with Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), with one year in Australia and one in China. Drawing on best practices locally and globally, this double masters will lead you become an expert in audience research and analytics, advocacy and persuasion, public relations and crisis communications. Youll be equipped with the skills and knowledge to build effective and ethical stakeholder engagement strategies, as well as the expertise to communicate with diverse audiences in an increasingly global environment. Youll examine the impact of persuasive story-telling and influencer strategies, and will consider the effectiveness of integrated media campaigns using both traditional and digital approaches.

  • An Australian bachelor degree with a major in humanities and social sciences with at least credit (60%) average.
  • An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) and an Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent) in a cognate* discipline with at least a 50% average in both qualifications.
