Understanding how past societies developed and interacted worldwide gives us a better understanding of who we are today and where we are going in the future. With a broad and rich knowledge of the societal structures, politics and religions of the ancient worlds youll not only gain an appreciation of historical concepts, youll learn how to apply those concepts to complex questions that affect contemporary global, national and local relationships between societies and people.
