Master of Criminology and Master of Security and Strategic Studies

The Master of Criminology will develop your skills in advanced criminology theory, applied criminological research and criminal justice policy analysis. As a graduate, youll use your knowledge and draw from fields including sociology, psychology, psychiatry and social anthropology, to understand better, measure and evaluate crime. The Master of Security and Strategic Studies will prepare you to analyse contemporary security, defence and strategic challenges. Youll learn about the dynamics behind major geopolitical and geostrategic issues, and about multidimensional non-traditional security challenges; and youll extend your knowledge of analytical methods to evaluate strategic choices, and the evolution of Australias interests and strategy.

  • AQF level 8 bachelor honours or graduate diploma qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent or
  • Meet two of the following three criteria: AQF level 7 bachelors qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent
  • Minimum two years relevant approved work experience at a senior management level, professional certification or other recognised prior learning
  • AQF level 7 bachelors qualification or recognised equivalent with a WAM of 65
  • AQF level 8 bachelor honours or graduate diploma qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent, or
  • Meet two of the following three criteria: AQF level 7 bachelors qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent
