Master of Counter Terrorism and Master of Security and Strategic Studies

The practice-oriented Master of Counter Terrorism will prepare you to analyse real-world counterterrorism challenges. Youll learn about the theory and practice of counterterrorism studies; the emerging domestic, regional and international challenges related to terrorism and their implications for counterterrorism approaches and policies; and the evolution of Australias counterterrorism strategies and policies. The Master of Security and Strategic Studies will prepare you to analyse contemporary security, defence and strategic challenges. Youll learn about the dynamics behind major geopolitical and geostrategic issues, and about multidimensional non-traditional security challenges; and youll extend your knowledge of analytical methods to evaluate strategic choices, and the evolution of Australias interests and strategy.
