This qualification is specific to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people working to provide a range of primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients. The Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice defines the knowledge and skills for workers involved in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care and who work autonomously under the broad guidance of others. The Diploma qualification covers workers who have a basis of skills and knowledge in primary health care practice, which they may apply in clinical, management or education functions.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
