As a Community Service individual or group, you would provide effective care to the community and individual members of the community, and ultimately aim to change their lives for the better. During this course you will learn how to meet the needs of people and support them in a non-for-profit organisation. Whether you wish to take this course to become a Community Service worker, Support Worker, Caseworker or Client contact officer this nationally recognised qualification will allow you to pursue a career in either.
Structure
Total number of units = 125 core units7 elective unitsEnrolment in the program is for a maximum of 24 months.Students must aim to complete modules by the nominated completion date and as a minimum must demonstrate ongoing progression towards completion. Extension for assessment may be awarded at the trainer’s discretion.This course is delivered via our online learning system You do not need to come to class, however, you will need to keep in contact with your Educator and attend phone and/or web meetings to complete some of the practical components of your course. Online learning allows you the flexibility of completing your course at your own pace, at times to suit work and other life commitments. You can work on your course at anytime, anywhere supported by your industry experienced Educator via telephone and email communication no matter where you are.
Standard entry requirements
All students require computer or tablet with access to the Internet and a program that can open and edit Word documents (this does not have to be Microsoft Office).There are no prerequisites for this course.
