Master of Philosophy (By Research)

The degree of Master of Philosophy is awarded on the basis of a thesis prepared under supervision that presents the results of original research in a scholarly form, demonstrating the candidate's knowledge of the research topic and the discipline/s it embraces, as judged by independent experts applying accepted contemporary international standards.

Bachelor degree with at least Honours 2B; or equivalent postgraduate qualification

Structure:

Each student is assigned to two majors throughout their candidature, one designating the academic element (School/Department or Research Centre) in which the research is being conducted and the other designating the discipline area (Field of Education) to which the research project is classified.
