This Graduate Diploma of Research Studies in Science is an 80 credit point program that provides an alternative route for entry into a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program for applicants who do not possess the required qualifications for direct admission.

Entry Requirements:

Bachelor degree in a related discipline from a recognised University with a minimum GPA of 5.0 (using a 7.0 point scale) over the last two years; or Masters degree in a related discipline with a minimum GPA of 5.0 (using a 7.0 point scale)

Study Pathways:

Students who have successfully complete this program (and have achieved a grade point average of 5.0 or higher with a grade of 5 in the dissertation component) are eligible to apply for admission to the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program. Students who have successfully completed this program (and have achieved a grade point average of 5.5 or higher with a grade of 6 in the dissertation component) are eligible to apply for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program.
