In this program, students will develop the skills and knowledge needed for a career in aviation management and gain core skills that will help them thrive in the constantly changing aviation environment. Students will study courses that directly relate to job functions in the aviation industry. They can study the second and third year courses online. In the final year, students will have the opportunity to undertake a short research project, which can be sponsored by an organisation or individual within the aviation industry.

Entry Requirements:

Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant area; or 5 years equivalent full-time work experience in the aviation industry plus either professional aviation industry qualification or technical aviation industry certification and Certificate III in a relevant field

Study Pathways:

Graduates of the Bachelor of Aviation Management may be eligible to apply for entry to the Graduate Certificate in Aviation Management or the Masters of Aviation Management.

Upon acceptance, students will be granted up to 120 credit points of advanced standing on the basis of their qualifications and experience. Students are able to enrol in on-campus and off-campus modes. Students enrolled in on-campus mode will attend face-to-face lectures and tutorials at the Nathan and Mt Gravatt campuses. Students electing to enrol off-campus are not required to attend university and will participate in learning activities, lodge assessment items and access support services via online student portals at the University. Duration: 3 years full-time equivalent offered over 2 years; Professional Entry: Adv standing + 1.5 years full-time
