The Graduate Certificate in Business Administration requires 6 months of full-time study (or the equivalent part-time). The course is designed to provide business knowledge and skills in a selection of areas and to foster attitudes in students commensurate with successful careers as managers of organisations including private sector business organisations, not-for-profit organisations and public organisations. The course aims to provide students with a sound understanding and appreciation of the context in which organisations operate and factors that impact on the operations and viability of organisations.

Students complete four core (compulsory) topics and chosen from a range of option topics available and aimed at providing students with a sound understanding and appreciation of the context in which organisations operate including the impact of global economic, social, environmental and ethical and business conditions and practices.

Standard entry requirements

Applicants must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution OR admission may also be granted based on prior work experience. This will usually include 1 year of relevant work experience in a related field or 2 years of relevant work experience in a non-related field. Admission will be based on the extent to which work experience has enabled the applicant to develop a foundation understanding of either one of the five areas Marketing, Accounting, Economics, Finance or Management.
