The Graduate Certificate in Public Policy requires 0.5 years of full-time study (or the equivalent part-time). The course is offered by the College of Business, Government and Law. The course articulates with the 36 unit Graduate Diploma in Public Policy and Administration and the 72 unit Master of Public Policy, and the sequentially developed topics enable progression through the three awards. The course is also available as an exit award from the 72 unit Master of Public Policy subject to meeting the requirements in the Program of Study below. In order to be able to exit with the Graduate Certificate in Public Policy students must indicate their intention to not proceed with the primary degree and request that they exit with the Graduate Certificate in Public Policy.
Structure
Students complete at least two core (compulsory) topic and up to two option topics chosen from a range of option topics available. These topics aim to provide students the knowledge and skills within the field of public policy to demonstrate autonomy and display well developed judgement, adaptability and responsibility as a practitioner or learner in the field of public policy.

Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution. However, the Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.
