Developed in collaboration with the Defence Science and Technology Group within the Department of Defence, but with substantial opportunities outside the defence sector, this combined degree encompasses a wide range of communication mediums including radar, radio and microwave together with a solid background in physics. A particular focus will be placed on systems engineering and on technologies that use these in conjunction with studies in signal processing, infrared imaging systems, multi-spectral sensing, satellite communications, computer networks, cybersecurity and telecommunications.

Standard entry requirements

This course can be applied for using one of the following qualifications: Year 12, TAFE qualifications, the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT), the Flinders Foundation Studies Program and Tertiary Transfer.This course has a prerequisite of SACE stage one mathematics or stage two general mathematics. Knowledge of SACE stage two physics and specialist mathematics or mathematical methods is assumed.
