This degree provides students access to a diverse range of topics that teach a wide range of knowledge and skills and provides students with a sound basis of knowledge in their chosen area(s) of study, the ability to communicate effectively in a range of ways, the skills to connect across geographical, disciplinary, social and cultural boundaries and understand the value of ethical behaviour. Students may also use the first year of the degree as a pathway into another Bachelor degree.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent qualifications; or mature age entry (STAT); or TAFE/VET qualifications; or higher education transfers; or completion of a foundation studies program


In the first year of study students will undertake core topics aimed at developing their academic literacy and numeracy skills together with their critical reasoning, written and verbal communication skills to enable successful transition to University studies. Students will also undertake first year topics from one or more of the following degrees: Bachelor of Arts; Bachelor of Business; Bachelor of Science; Bachelor of Engineering Science. In second and third years students select topics from any area in the University, subject to prerequisites being met, as electives.

Students who achieve a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.00 (Pass) or higher over the first 36 units of study will be guaranteed entry into a number of Bachelor degrees at Flinders University including: Bachelor of Archaeology; Bachelor of Arts; Bachelor of Business; Bachelor of Disability and Developmental Education; Bachelor of Engineering Science; Bachelor of Information Technology; Bachelor of International Relations; Bachelor of Law and Society; Bachelor of Media Arts; Bachelor of Public Administration; Bachelor of Science; Bachelor of Theology and Bachelor of Tourism and Management.
